Jakob Viskinde played 1997 in the rock‘n’ roll band "Blonde on Blonde". He was 16 years at that time. The band didn’t have a steady bass-player so late 1997 Jacob asked the 13 years old August Ussing to join in. "Blonde on Blonde" splitt up short time after, but Jakob and August continued with the drummer Jannik Holdbæk in the rock/blues/jazz-band "Vauxhall. After 2 years together, Jannik took his highschollbuddy Jens Seidler along on guitar and vocal. Jannik did however have other interests that made it impossible for him to continue in "Vauxhall".

The following time Jakob, August and Jens did play with a number of different drummers, about 7 all in all, but they all either didn’t have the time or the ambissions to play with the other 3. After some time they settled with a drummbox. It lasted untill february 2000, when Jens braught Anders Lund Svendsen (A) along. A was about to leave the band shortly after, as the band played acidrock at the rehearsal, wich wasn’t A’s favourit genre.

He did stay, and that started the band Electric Silence, that in time took another musical direction. From the summer 2000 untill newyear 2002/2003 the four experienced great musical changes and maturing. They went to New York and New Jersey, where they gave two concerts to get in touch with producers and recordcompanies. The producer Dave Domenich (Lenny Kravitz, Ryan Adams and Madonna) was impressed and took them to his studio. Serbia was also taken by storm, as they played a sold out koncert with 600 seats in Omladina (Beograd).

Electric Silence released the EP "Blitz of you" with 4 numbers. "Blitz of you" was also the name of the following hitsingle, that was playlisted continuesly on all radiostations and the single was no. 3 on Gaffa’s single top-40. The EP was followed up by both spring and autumn tour, wich gave a lot of succesfull experiences.

The press did like them as well: "A good example on the future of danish rock", Søren Rebbe (Det er dansk, DR), "Powerful and melodic rockmusic", Anders Houmøller (Jyllandsposten), "The band has the most musical wallues I have heard in a long time", Henrik Øster (Herning Folkeblad).

Jens Seidler left the band december 2002 to go solo. He had other musical ideas and interesses than Jakob, August and A. They started THE SUN and recorded the album "Magnetic Rush", with help from both Jens Seidler and pianoplayer Morten Bolvig. The 3 guys have found an energy and power, with can’t go unnoticed.

Spring 2003 THE SUN have 25 gigs all over Denmark, where the new material will be presented with will and power. THE SUN have 4 numbers in a new danish movie. "Magnetic Rush" was released on January the 31st. Yeah, as told there are a lot of energy in THE SUN. 3 young men that knows what they want, and have the tallent to do it.

Jakob Viskinde, son of Peter Viskinde (Big Fat Snake, Malurt, Doraz, Buffalo, Hvalsø), plays guitar as if he was born to it. He tells that it isn’t so, even so that he must have been surrounded by guitars all his life. He didn’t play to spite his father, but he wasn’t interested.

That came as Jakob heard Pearl Jam. A great deal of his fathers tallent must have fallen to him, for even if he didn’t start playing untill his teens, you can’t denie that there are a lot of guitar in his blood and fingers. His voice is very good as well. Rough, powerful and melodic. August Ussing, son of Joakim Ussing (Doraz with Peter Viskinde), is a extreem good bass-player in spite of his young age. And then his voice sends all the mice in town up and down my spine. Anders Lund Svendsen, A, is drummer per exelance. Beated, tallented and full of humor. All 3 young boys owns the humor as well as charme in grand scale. And they are all music. What more do you desire?
